A benighted age has long prevailed
With dreams alive behind drawn veils
Reflecting fragments of a future past
Far across the void the die is cast
Shadows crawl throughout the night
A secret work that's hidden in plain sight
Like a phantom breath from another world
A paradox soon to be unfurled
Here it comes
From beyond the sun
To this Dominion
•
It has begun
Where all is One
Nowhere left to run
Vast gulfs of darkness lie between
Distant realms that burst with life unseen
Though poisoned webs now weave their hold
That sow the seeds of the end foretold
Fighting back despair's slow sword
Walking hidden paths yet unexplored
Searching for a truth to mend the rift
That impels all conciousness to shift
Here it comes
From beyond the sun
To this Dominion
•
It has begun
A world undone
Nowhere left to run
I will bridge the gap
Where dimensions overlap
I will bear the helm
Of a new dawn upon this realm
From beyond the storm and smoke
Across the boundaries of worlds end
A reconciliation has been invoked
And a new Gospel is written
Here it comes
From beyond the sun
To this Dominion
•
It has begun
When all is One
Where the waters run...
Chevalier is no doubt one of my favorite up and coming acts, playing an off the beaten path brand of raw sounding speed metal. Go back to their first LP here, self recorded. Sure, it doesn't have the same production level as "Destiny Calls", but it's still a great listen in it's own right. Bloodied But Unbowed
Furious guitar playing, moving between speed and prog metal and the high melodic vocals, oh my god !! The songs are all between 5 and 7 minutes, often vary the tempo, do not score with catchiness, but with many Yes! That's exactly how metal should be! Stephan
Blazing True Metal from Sweden, Mace'n'Chain are ready to storm the gates with mighty vocal melodies and blistering riffs. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 30, 2023
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
